What is it like to live here according to the Landlord?
In the very commercial district of rue des Martyrs and Avenue Trudaine, apartment on the fourth floor WITH elevator of a typical Parisian Haussmanian building.
Herringbone parquet, moldings and excellent distribution make this real two room flat a pleasant place to live.
This room includes a fully equipped kitchen open in a corner including a dishwasher, a multi-function microwave oven, hotplates, a Nespresso coffee machine, and everything necessary.

This 1 bedroom apartment to rent on Rue Gérando is in a great neighborhood. It’s located on the 4th floor, and there is an elevator, but it’s worth the climb up the stairs. Aside from the bathroom, which is tiled, the entire apartment has gorgeous wood floors. There is a beautiful French balcony in the bedroom. It overlooks the interior courtyard, so it’s quiet and you’ll get enough rest on the double bed. Back in the bathroom, you’ll find a washing machine, which is super convenient. There is also a shower cabinet. The main living space is open-concept. It also has a gorgeous French balcony, which allows plenty of natural light to spill in. The kitchenette is modern and fully equipped, but compact. The rest of the room is warm and cozy, with a 3-seat dining table, TV, sofa bed and shelving.
If you love theater, you’re going to adore living in the 9th arrondissement. Three theaters, including Le Trianon, are around the corner. The famous Palais Garnier is at the other end of the neighborhood. However, the 25-minute walk is worth it to just to see the “Wedding Cake”, as it’s called. Prefer movies? The Louxor/Palais Du Cinéma is 4 minutes away. And just so you know, you’re in danger of becoming a food critic living here. The area is densely populated with restaurants! There are plenty of shops and boutiques, too. You can pick up groceries any day of the week at the Franprix just 4 minutes away. Or you can wait until Friday, when there is a fresh produce and food market in Square d'Anvers around the corner.
What we liked the most
- The wood floors in your new home add a beautiful charm to the otherwise contemporary space.
- You’re surrounded by restaurants and cocktail bars, but you can pick up a good baguette at Panifica bakery, which is 2 minutes away.
- You’re living on the edge—of Montmartre, that is! Sacré-Cœur is 10 minutes away.
- There are a few nearby museums and historical sites nearby. The Phono Museum is a 5-minute walk away.
Things to keep in mind
- This apartment is on the 4th floor of an older building. On the plus side, you're going to get plenty of exercise!
